The first time millennials watched Salad Fingers, we were hooked. As adults, we're wondering what in tarnation was wrong with us… Now, imagine your boomer mom watching Salad Fingers for the first time. Well, that actually happened, and it's exactly what you would expect.

We loved the weirdest stuff on the internet when us millennials were kids. Why were we so hooked on skits like Salad Fingers, Happy Tree Friends, and Charlie the Unicorn? The memories of watching these online series are fond, but if you actually watch one of these right now, you truly start to wonder what part of your childhood trauma they caused.

Recently, a grown millennial decided it was time to show her mom what she had been watching as a kid. What was actually going on behind the computer screen while the mom was making Hamburger Helper in the kitchen… It was Salad Fingers. Arguably, one of the creepier of the nostalgic online watches from millennials.

From his creepy voice to his love for rusty spoons, the boomer mom watched with her mouth agape. She was aghast and could not believe this was the childhood "television" her kids were watching.

Funny enough, though the boomer mom's reaction was complete disgust and shock, she was hooked. Hooked just like us millennials were all those years ago! It's just one of those things that you can't look away from, even though you probably should. Is there educational value in this kind of entertainment? Maybe for you inner demons and sleep paralysis monster.
But, it was too late. Her mom still asked to watch more. Are you really shocked by that reaction? When it was less than a couple of decades ago that we were having the same reaction?

We're still big fans of all those strange videos like Salad Fingers. Wasn't it just the series' 25th anniversary last year? It's a time to celebrate this magnificent freakish piece of art! In fact, we're probably going to go watch some Salad Fingers right after this because now I need a weird and comforting trip down nostalgia lane. Thanks!
